How the Carry The Colors Foundation handles the information you send us.
This policy covers CarryTheColors.org and the forms on it. We collect as little as we can and we do not sell any of it.
Information We Collect
We collect what you type into our forms. Depending on which form you use that may include your name, email address, phone number, location, branch of service, service status, dress uniform, availability, event details, and any audition recording or link you submit.
Membership and audition forms ask for service verification, which may include a DD214, current orders or a military identification card. These are handled by the Leadership Element and are used only to confirm eligibility.
Our web host collects standard technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, in server logs.
How We Use It
To answer your message, evaluate an application or audition, plan and staff an event, and keep in touch with you about the thing you contacted us about.
We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We do not share it with anyone outside the foundation except where a service provider needs it to deliver our website, email or forms, or where the law requires disclosure.
Service Records
Service verification documents are treated as sensitive. They are reviewed for eligibility and are not published, shared or used for any other purpose. If you want yours removed after your application is decided, email us and we will remove it.
How Long We Keep It
Enquiries are kept for as long as they are useful for correspondence. Membership and audition records are kept for as long as you are on a roster, and for a reasonable period afterwards. You may ask us to delete your information at any time.
Photography At Events
We photograph and record our details at events, and those images may appear on this website and on our social media. If you are a member and you do not want to appear, tell the Leadership Element and we will keep you out of published material.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies to make the site work and to understand how it is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; parts of the site may stop working properly if you do.
Children
This website is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
Your Choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@CarryTheColors.org and we will respond.
You can unsubscribe from any email we send by replying and asking us to stop.

We will update this page if our practices change. The version posted here is the current one.
